FOUNDER

I went looking for
a bag. There wasn't one.

Kristopher Anderson, founder.

My dad first took me to the range when I was twelve. By the time I was carrying a bag regularly I had settled into carrying it a particular way, and I never once questioned it. It was just how I carried.

The One That Fit

Years later I found a bag, almost by accident, built the way I carry. One SKU, buried in a catalog. Nobody marketed it to me. Nobody positioned it as an answer to anything. It was treated as a variant rather than a product.

The first time I carried it the difference was immediate. Everything sat where I expected. Then I stopped thinking about it, which is what a bag that fits you does. You stop noticing it. That is the job.

I searched for a replacement. There wasn't one. There hadn't been for years.

Then It Was Gone

I started playing more than I had in years, bought new clubs, and went to replace the old bag. It had been discontinued. I looked for used stock, then for alternatives. There was nothing, and there had been nothing for a long time.

Everything available was built on the other assumption, and people had worked out how to use it anyway, with every compromise that involves. I had lived with those compromises for years without having words for them, because the old bag had been good enough to keep me from noticing. Without it, each one turned specific and obvious.

Why Me

I did not come from the golf industry. That is worth saying plainly, because the case this company makes is not that the industry builds bad bags. It builds careful, well-made ones. The case is that it inherited a definition nobody went back and checked, and those are hard to question from inside the room where they were written.

What I came from is closer to this work than it sounds. For a decade I ran a two hundred and thirty mile cycling event across seventeen venues, first as director of operations and safety and later as general manager, carrying a P&L north of two million dollars. Route design, vendor contracts, risk planning, and coordination with local governments, EMS, and law enforcement. Logistics failures are not theoretical in that job. Several thousand people find out at once.

After that I spent three years building a digital membership platform. A global fan community with content, commerce, and a two-sided marketplace behind it, cross-border fulfillment, and digital collectibles run alongside the physical goods. I produced the experiential activations that went with it. A convention floor is not unfamiliar ground.

A carry bag, a numbered membership, a claim window, and a booth in Orlando in January. Those are the four problems in front of this company. They are, more or less, the four I have already done.

There is an MBA and a master's in sports management behind that, and a degree in economics. None of it is why I started this. I started because I needed a bag nobody was making.

Who This Is For

I am building this for myself, and for anyone who carries the way I do. Four hundred to start. Never discounted. Made once. That is few enough that I can stand behind each bag personally. At a larger number it stops being a promise and starts being a slogan.

That might be you. You might not know it yet, because until now there has been nothing to try.
